Rise UP Authors: Feel Good About Yourself

As an author, you have made plenty of mistakes. The hard truth is that everything you did wrong was based on the decisions that you made. The good news is that every decision that you make in the future, is UP to you!

Everyday you are going to struggle. On the other hand, everyday you are going to succeed. How do I know? Because, you are an author.

Let me say that again. “You are an author!”

Remember that God approves of you. No matter how hard you try being something else, you will only be truly happy with reading and writing books.

When you wake up in the morning, thank God for the day. Feel good about what is going to happen, even when threats seem to loom around your life. And while you are at it, thank God for your gift of writing.

The world has a knack for listing your faults. But you should list the opportunities that God has given you. God is not focused on your weaknesses, He is focused on your strengths!

At some point in your life, you made a decision to have a career as an author. That decision was supported by God. Learn to trust in yourself and trust in God.

The past will weigh you down, but the future should lift your spirits. If right now, you made a decision to believe in your gift, then you have also made a decision to believe in God’s plan for your life.

God is on your side. Knowing that, who can be against you? No one.

You may feel stuck, or in a rut, but look where you started, compared to where you are now. You have made wonderful improvements. Imagine how much you are going to improve today. Tomorrow. In five years.

Being an author is not a “Get-rich-quick-plan.” It is difficult being an author. That is why you can make it, while millions of others will not have a career in writing. You were given the gift.

Do not stop by just improving yourself. Help other struggling authors. Give them advice based on your experiences. Guide our youth to wonderful books. The more you help others, the more you will help yourself.

God is pleased with you. What a wonderful feeling that is!

“The Lord brought me out into a spacious place, He rescued me, because He delighted in me.” Psalm 18:19.

The publishing industry seems like a spacious place. Bookstores around the world seem like a spacious place. Amazon seems like a spacious place. Facebook seems like a spacious place.

But you were guided to those spacious places by God. Rise Up Author! And feel good about yourself!
